Multifocal Fitting

There are a few factors that determine the accuracy of Multifocal fitting:
• The patient's background: his occupation, age, eye history and systemic diseases are important factors for the success of the fitting.
A professional and comprehensive examination that includes determining an accurate prescription.
• The quality of the adapted lense: the technology invested in the lens, a wide or narrow channel, the type of coatings, the level of finish of the lens, the transitions between distance and reading are an important condition for a successful adjustment.
• The markings of the center of the pupil in relation to the eyepiece of the glasses: if there is a deviation in the center of the lens in front of the center of the pupil, it will make adaptation difficult and even impossible.
• The cutting of the lenses in the frame: if the lens sat with a slight deviation as a result of unprofessional cutting, this causes great difficulty in adapting to the multifocal.
